Wish List - Maxi Dress Edition

I found this lacey maxi dress for our engagement shoot months before we even knew the date of it or who would be the photographer. Off the shoulder, maxi dresses are my weakness. Feminine, flow-y, beautifully sweet- done and done. Perfect for summer days and nights. I felt so pretty and girly in this dress- a must have for summer. (Exact dress from ASOS found here and another similar here

I wish I had all of these in my wardrobe right now....

Memorial Day Weekend

"Each day holds a surprise. But only if we expect it can we see, hear or feel it when it comes to us. Let's not be afraid to receive each day's surprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or as joy it will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome new friends and celebrate more fully our shared humanity."- Henri Nouwen

Strawberries and Champagne

This little cutie graduated from college! It is such a huge accomplishment and testimony to all the hard work she has put in for the past four years. Vanderbilt certainly knows how to celebrate and the graduation festivities were unlike anything I had ever seen before. The parties lasted for 3 whole days and one was better than the last. The first night was something called 'The Party' and was out on the quad where they had a band playing and Chinese lanterns everywhere. After Shannon walked and officially graduated Vanderbilt set up huge white tents and tables filled with strawberries and champagne. It was beyond beautiful. It was so much fun to celebrate her in such a beautiful city.

^^ The first night there we ate dinner at Josephine's

^^ Another night we had dinner at Husk, which was absolutely incredible. Husk is in a beautiful old southern style home.

^^ No trip is complete without a stop at Dairy Queen!

^^ One of Shannon's sweet friends hosted a graduation cocktail hour at the Hermitage Hotel.

There is nothing better than getting the chance to spend time celebrating with family. :) Congratulations Shannon! We love you! :)
